- Account lockout policies are being tripped.
- Automatic Updates, Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS), Windows Defender, and Error Reporting Services are disabled.
- Domain controllers respond slowly to client requests.
- The network is congested.
- Various security-related Web sites cannot be accessed.

We do not recommend you manually remove this threat. Instead you should consider using software to fully remove and prevent the threat. Programs such as Spyware Doctor with Antivirus work great to remove and prevent such threats.

Man alive is this thing bad. It got onto our network and spread in just an hour to over a dozen computers.
We have the Conficker.b worm. After installing Spyware Doctor with Antivirus on all machines we were able to remove Conficker.b. This stuff blocked it right away. After that we patched all the computers with the latest Microsoft updates and it seems all our issues are gone now.
FYI: We were using the newest Symantic client and it was updated but this thing still got through.
